Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF), a 50-year-old Pittsburgh-based international charity, promotes health, education, and hope through the efficient and effective distribution of donated medical, educational, agricultural, nutritional, and other resources.

BBF has helped tens of millions of people in over 140 countries, working in association with local agencies that want to help their own people. Together with partners in the United States and other affluent countries, BBF has provided over $3.4 billion in goods and services including over 88,000 tons of medical supplies, text books, seeds, and food.

Its President, Luke Hingson, has guided the growth and development of BBF for over 30 years. Luke will share with us his secrets to managing this highly successful charitable organization as well as how BBF makes such a considerable difference around the world.

For more than 30 years Luke L. Hingson has guided the growth and development of Brother’s Brother Foundation, an international humanitarian aid organization dedicated to “Connecting People’s Resources with People’s Needs”. BBF helps people in over 140 countries by working through partnerships with local agencies, government institutions, hospitals, universities, faith-based groups and social clubs. Together with partners in the U.S. and other countries, BBF has provided over 88,000 tons of donated, requested pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, textbooks, food, seed and humanitarian supplies to help those in need. BBF’s International Education Program has sent over 82,485,000 donated requested books to schools and libraries in 104 countries. Under Luke’s leadership, BBF has become one of the most efficient and effective non-profit organizations in the U.S. with low administration and fundraising expenditures noted by Forbes Magazine, Chronicle of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Times.
