Do You Own a Business or a Job (Lynda Foster)

July 27, 2011 by · 1 Comment

Most small business owners work hard for many years to build their reputation and the quality of their product or service, and they pride themselves in their special brand of customer service. Unfortunately, the majority give little thought to whether their company has equity that can be sold to someone else so they may “cash in” on all their sweat equity down the road. In this episode, you’ll discover the biggest mistakes business owners make in their climb to the top of the entrepreneurial ladder and the key areas you need to focus on in order to ensure a fantastic retirement one day!

Lynda’s Success Tip

Your spouse is REALLY important to your success. The advice and support they give you will determine whether you reach the type of success that makes you feel fulfilled. Sometimes the path is a little slower as you need to love and nurture that relationship daily, but without it you will reach the top of the wrong mountain for sure!

Failure is inevitable. We fail everyday. Don’t allow your ego to ignore your failures and loose your house and all your savings over it! Detach from results and listen to feedback. Learn from others’ mistakes if you can.

Synergize! Synergize your business, your relationships, your life! It is only through others that we will grow and prosper. You can save so much time and money by taking a few hours a week to work ON your business instead of in it.
Being healthy is CRITICAL. No sense in making a million dollars if you can’t enjoy it!
