Healing the Wounds That Hold You Back from Your Greatness (Jeffrey Van Dyk)

September 8, 2010 by · 1 Comment

Jeffrey Van Dyk, PCC, will help you learn the hidden keys that can unlock your greatness and help you take a giant leap into the joyful work you’re meant to do in the world.  Jeffrey is a thought leader in a new paradigm that’s emerging–a paradigm upon which coaching is built. You are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.

But if you’re like most people, you don’t always feel that way. There may be parts of your personality you’d rather hide from the world, thank you very much!

Were you to hide, however, you (and the world) would be losing a lot.  Each time you brush a part of yourself away, you “cloak” your power and tether yourself to your smallness.

The good news is you can transform your darkest parts and deepest wounds into your greatest strengths. Beth and I will ask our guest about that transformational process in this week’s interview.  We always learn something when we’re with Jeffrey–he’s had an amazing impact on our lives. It’s our honor and pleasure to share him with you!

Jeffrey’s Coaching Suggestions

1)      If you’re feeling blocked as you attempt to “step into your greatness,” and you notice some discomfort, take a moment and sit with it.  Try to discern what the resistance is all about through journaling and/or meditation.

2)      Also, if you engage in spiritual practices and feel connected to some form of spiritual guidance, ask that guidance about the block.  Explore questions like:  What truth am I not seeing here and why is this showing up right now?

As Jeffrey points out, our entire interview is one big coaching suggestion….  Listen and learn!

Jeffrey’s Quotes for the Day

From the movie Phoebe in Wonderland:

“At a certain point in your life, probably when too much of it has gone by, you will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are – especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful ‘normals’ and you will say to yourself ‘but I am this person’ and in that statement – that correction – there will be, a kind of love.”  (Miss Dodger)

“It’s never too late to be the person you might have been. “   ~George Eliot

  1. Jory Fisher says:

On September 8th, Beth and I interviewed Jeffrey Van Dyk, our friend and fellow True Purpose™ coach. Would you like to hear a different take on problems and hurts and wounds and pain? Listen to Jeffrey: “Problems point the way to the place where more truth is waiting to be revealed. … Your greatest gifts are always found in your most deep-seeded wounds—and finding those gifts is a process that can be learned. … Wounds are necessary for our development. You’ve grown a whole set of skills from that wound. … We all have some fundamental truth we’re here to bring to the world—our purpose.” Jeffrey’s purpose is to help people turn their ache into joy. Listen to this interview to hear him describe the transformational process he uses when he works with the people he’s meant to serve.

Would love to hear what you think!

    Warmly,

    Jory
