Tuning In To Your Life (Lizzie Branch)

April 6, 2011 by · 1 Comment

God has put a song in your heart that only you can hear. We were created with dreams and with a heart song that makes us unique and brilliant. As children, we dream because we don’t know any different. To dream is part of our innate being.

However, as we get older, the world creeps in and starts to drown out our heart song. Before we know it, we are miserable, unfulfilled, and can’t figure out how we got stuck in a rut. This creates dissonance…we are out of tune and, therefore, our lives are out of balance and disconnected.

Lizzie’s message of bridging the gap between our reality and the life we were created to passionately live helps us to shift from “doing” to “being” so we can dance to the song that only we were made to hear. What was your heart’s song before you started tuning into the world’s songs? What could your future be?

About Lizzie Branch

Lizzie Branch, PhD, is a Christian Life Coach, speaker, and writer. Through her coaching business, “Kairos Coaching, LLC,” she partners with her clients as they seek God’s dreams for themselves and begin to live to their full potential as a child of the King. Lizzie helps her clients discover that potential and bridge the gap between what they are doing now and who they were created to be. This is when her clients discover their wings and take flight!

Lizzie recently published a children’s book titled “Completely Different, But Totally Normal.” With colorful illustrations and a lovable main character who has Type I Diabetes, the book is a must read for anyone who has ever felt unaccepted as a result of being different. As much as Lizzie loves coaching, she loves being a wife to her husband and a mom to her two children even more. Lizzie and her family live in Clayton, NC.

Lizzie’s Tips and Strategies for Success

  1. Know when enough is enough…we can’t do it all…but what is enough for me in this moment? Tune in to the song you hear, not what you think you should do.
  2. As I struggle against the busy quotient in life, I try to practice being present to where I am and breathe. As I breathe and pause, I can come back to the table with a new awareness. I can hear the music again!
  3. Don’t try to be anyone else but you. Would you run a marathon wearing someone else’s running shoes? You dance to your heartsong, no one elses!
  4. Comparing yourself to others is one of the worst mistakes you can ever make. It is self-defeating. Focus on your purpose, your heartsong.
